How the tool works

The converter normalizes settings to a single physical unit: cm/360°, the centimeters of mouse travel needed for one full in-game 360-degree turn. Every game applies a sensitivity multiplier to your DPI; the converter uses known per-game formulas to back out the multiplier and compute cm/360°, then forward-compute the equivalent sensitivity in any other game at any DPI.

The tool also reports eDPI (DPI × sensitivity), a normalized number for comparing setups within a single game. A Valorant eDPI of ~280 is a common mid-range baseline; pros range from ~200 to ~400.

Step-by-step usage

  1. Enter your current game (Valorant, CS2, Apex, Overwatch, etc.).
  2. Enter your current DPI and sensitivity. Use the values from your in-game settings and mouse software.
  3. Enter your target game and target DPI. DPI often stays the same, but you can change it.
  4. Read the converted sensitivity and cm/360°. The cm/360° should match across both games — that is the whole point.
  5. Adjust if needed. If the converted sensitivity feels too fast or slow in the new game, you may have a different FOV or aspect ratio; allow a day of muscle-memory adjustment before tweaking.

Pro tips for aim training

  • cm/360° is the universal aim currency. Match it across games and your muscle memory carries over. Pro players typically range from 30–50 cm/360° for tactical shooters, less for tracking-heavy games.
  • Pick a DPI and stick with it. 800 or 1600 are common native steps. Adjust sensitivity, not DPI, for per-game tuning.
  • FOV changes perceived speed, not actual sensitivity. A higher FOV makes the same cm/360° feel faster because more of the world is visible. Allow a day to adjust.
  • Refresh rate changes perceived speed too. Going from 60Hz to 144Hz can make the same sensitivity feel different. Give it a week before re-tuning.
  • Lower sensitivity is usually more consistent. Most pros play lower than beginners think they should. Big mousepad, low sens, arm aiming — that is the path to consistent flicks.
